iSPY ("we", "the app") is built by Future Moguls. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to control it. Plain English. Short on lawyer-speak.

What runs on your machine vs. our servers

Audio capture and transcription are 100% on-device. Your microphone audio is processed locally by the bundled Whisper model. The raw audio never leaves your Mac.

Translation (English target) is also on-device. Whisper translates source → English locally. Only when you choose a non-English target does iSPY send the transcribed text (no audio) to a third-party translation service.

Conversation Analysis is opt-in and uses Anthropic's Claude API. When you click "Analyze" in the Journal, the selected session transcripts are sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards them to Anthropic. No audio is sent. Results return and are saved locally.

What we collect

• Email address + display name + profile picture — from Google or Apple sign-in, so we can identify your account and route your subscription correctly.
• Subscription status — plan tier (Starter / Pro), billing cycle, renewal date, count of analyses used this month. Stored in Cloudflare KV.
• Stripe customer identifier — Stripe handles all payment information; we never see card details. We store the customer ID Stripe gives us so we can look up your subscription.
• Apple StoreKit transaction ID (iOS only) — if you subscribe via the iOS app.
• Conversation transcripts — when you trigger an Analysis, the transcripts are temporarily sent to Anthropic. Anthropic's data policy applies; per their API terms they do not train on customer data.

What stays only on your Mac

• All recorded audio files (.wav)
• All saved session documents (.docx)
• All Analysis reports (.docx)
• Settings, encrypted via macOS Keychain

These live in ~/Documents/Live Translator Journal/ on your Mac. We never see them. Delete the folder to delete everything.

Third parties we use

• Google — for sign-in (OAuth). They learn that you signed into iSPY.
• Apple — for sign-in on iOS (Sign in with Apple). Apple learns that you signed in.
• Stripe — for subscription payments. They handle all billing and PCI compliance.
• Anthropic — when you opt into Analysis. They receive the transcript text only.
• Cloudflare — hosts the auth + entitlement backend and this site.
• MyMemory — for translation to non-English targets only. Receives the source-language text.

Cookies + tracking

This website does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies. The app does not phone home in the background — it only contacts our backend when you sign in, refresh your entitlement (~ once per hour), trigger an Analysis, or open Stripe's customer portal.

Your rights

• Export — your journal and reports are already plain files on your Mac. Take them anywhere.
• Delete — email myles@futuremoguls.com and we'll wipe your backend record within 7 days. Subscriptions can be canceled directly through the Stripe customer portal in the app (Account → Manage subscription).
• Access — same email gets you a copy of everything we have on you (it's not much).

Data retention

We keep your account record while your subscription is active and for 90 days after cancellation so we can reactivate cleanly if you come back. After that we delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll bump the date at the top and email anyone with an active subscription.
