Terms of service

These are the terms for using iSPY. Please read them — they're short.

1. The service

iSPY is a macOS (and forthcoming iOS) desktop application that captures audio, transcribes it on-device, translates it, and optionally analyzes conversations using Anthropic's Claude AI. Future Moguls operates the back-end and provides the application.

2. Your account

You need a Google or Apple account to sign in. You're responsible for keeping that account secure. We are not liable for use of your account by someone who has gotten access to your sign-in credentials.

3. Subscriptions and payment

iSPY offers paid subscription plans (Starter $3.99/mo or $29.99/yr; Pro $9.99/mo or $79.99/yr). Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time through Account → Manage subscription, which opens Stripe's customer portal. No refunds are issued for partial periods, but you keep access through the end of the period you paid for.

4. Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you record. iSPY is a recording and transcription tool — it does not check the legal status of any recording. In most jurisdictions you need consent from the people you're recording. Don't use iSPY to record people without consent where it's illegal to do so.

Don't use iSPY for:

• Recording or analyzing audio you don't have legal right to record
• Stalking, harassment, or any unlawful surveillance
• Reverse-engineering the app or attempting to bypass the paywall
• Sharing your account with others to evade per-account quotas

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-generated content

The Analysis feature uses Claude (Anthropic). AI-generated summaries can be wrong, biased, or omit important context. Don't rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. We make no warranty about the accuracy of any AI output.

6. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. We may take the back-end down for maintenance with reasonable notice. The desktop app continues to work offline (recording + transcription) when our back-end is unreachable — only sign-in, subscription verification, and Analysis require the back-end.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is material, we'll email active subscribers and update the date at the top. Continuing to use iSPY after a change means you accept it.

8. Limitation of liability

iSPY is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of iSPY is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state of California.
